6:00 PM - 8:30 PM National Night Out
National Night Out (NNO) is a community-police partnership that provides a unique opportunity for residents to increase awareness about crime prevention and safety, get to know their neighbors, and meet local law enforcement and other public safety officers with the goal of preventing crime and drug activities in their neighborhoods.

Join your neighbors, elected officials and law enforcement officers at one of these four locations for self-defense demonstrations, community engagement and neighborhood walks:

Cherry Hill Neighborhood Park at 4605 Kiernan Road from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

College Park Woods Community Park at 9119 St. Andrews Place: 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Lakeland Park at 4901 Lakeland Road from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Duvall Field at 9119 Rhode Island Avenue from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Take advantage of the opportunity to learn about crime prevention and public safety in the City of College Park; Meet your neighbors, community leaders, elected officials and law enforcement officers
We also ask residents to turn on their porch or lamppost lights from dusk to midnight on August 1, 2017

• Discussion - The the Mayor and Council would like our opinion on the following (How to implement, cost, etc., not our opinions as to good/bad):

1. Staggered/At-Large Seats:
a. Option 1 – Four at-large Council seats, four district Council seats, plus Mayor. 4 year terms for at-large Council seats and Mayor; two year terms for district Council seats.

b. Option 2 – Keeping four Council districts with two Councilmembers from each district, but going to 4 year terms for each and staggering the terms so that every two years one Councilmember from each district is up for election.

2. Feedback on going to no-excuse absentee voting.
